Family Fun Friday- Free Workshops!

It’s Family Fun Friday!  On Friday’s we will be posting about fun family-friendly activities you can enjoy in the area, or just great ideas for ways to have some FAMILY FUN!

This week’s post is really exciting, because it’s FREE!  If you have kids in elementary school, then you need to check out the free kid’s workshops at Lowes and Home Depot.  They offer them on Saturday mornings.

Lowes Build and Grow Clinics

From project basics to giving your child the opportunity to say, “I built it!”, our Build and Grow kid’s clinics are a great way to help build confidence! Bring the kids into any Lowe’s store and build a FREE wooden project. Each participant also receives a free apron, goggles, a project themed patch, and a certification of merit upon completion of their project.

Home Depot

Kids Workshops are FREE “How-To Workshops” designed for children ages 5-12.  The hands-on sessions are offered on the first Saturday of each month between 9am and noon at all Home Depot stores.

Unlike Lowes, Home Depot does not offer online registration, so call your local store to get more information about registering and what the next project will be.  *Tomorrow (Saturday, August 7) they will be building a School Bus Pencil Organizer!*

Have you ever taken your children to one of these free workshops?  Share your experience!!
